This respectful but inexpensive cremation takes place at your local crematorium enabling you to use the venue to properly mourn your loved one. It includes the right to scatter the ashes in the Crematorium Garden of Remembrance, and offers the opportunity to use the grounds to connect with those who have been gone before or may pass this way later.

This is a small and intimate gathering of family and friends to reflect and remember their loved one on the day of their cremation in the quieter morning times of the Crematorium. Music can be played, a few words can be spoken and memories exchanged. Ashes can be scattered in the crematorium grounds or collected for scattering elsewhere.

Aberystwyth Crematorium has been especially designed to blend into this landscape and has the look of a small country house and was built to meet the needs of mourners from all backgrounds.
We are dedicated to serving the bereaved in an atmosphere that is caring and professional. An integrated state of the art media system provides an almost infinite music library.
Speakers are located in the area outside of the chapel allowing larger services to be catered for.
We allow 60 minute service slots – this ensures that every family has enough time to hold a personal and dignified service. We feel that it is essential that you are able to hold the funeral of your choice and our chapel can be altered, with prior arrangement, to create a suitable environment for a service of any religion or belief.
The floral tribute area is set slightly away from the chapel, offering a quiet spot to gather with friends and family after the service. Floral tributes will remain on display outside for a minimum of three nights, unless otherwise instructed.
There are approximately 48 allocated parking spaces.

OUR SERVICE
Our funeral services are held every 60minutes. This allows plenty of time to be seated for the service.
An extended service can be provided for an additional fee.
The funeral service can be as personal or unique as you wish.
The chapel can be personalised for any religion or belief.
Our uniformed chapel attendant will be available at each service.
The chapel is warm, welcoming and decorated with fresh flowers.
We have seating for around 86mourners plus ample standing room inside.
The service can be relayed outside via speakers for large attendances.
We have a modern computerised music system that can provide almost any music choice that is requested.
Flowers can be donated for use in the chapel after the funeral.
Floral tributes will remain displayed in the Flower Terrace for a minimum of 2 days.
Personalising Funerals
One of the biggest changes is the choice of music that is played. More families are choosing specially-chosen recorded music rather than organ music.
As a guide, we would suggest that a special piece of music is played as the coffin enters and then another piece at the end of the service as the congregation leaves the chapel. Although the majority of funerals still require a hymn or two, this isn’t a necessity. More families prefer to use their time in the chapel listening to music that has a special meaning and hymns can be replaced with more recorded music. It is also particularly poignant to have a quiet piece of music played as the curtains close, as a moment of reflection.
Although a religious service is still very popular, with psalms and prayers, many more families choose instead to have special poems and personal readings instead.
Another idea that helps to make your service special is the provision of a photo/photos that can be displayed in the chapel during your service or maybe some of your loved one’s favourite possessions. A hat, for instance, that is instantly recognisable!
We are here to ensure that you have the service that you want. We will work alongside your Funeral Director and help in any way we can.
Webcasting Services
We work with select providers to offer webcasting and recording services so that families can capture funeral services for those who cannot physically attend. Services are captured by a discreetly located camera at the back of the chapel, allowing friends and families to be a part of the service without ever leaving their home.
